Description:

The PAA Nominations Committee develops the slate of nominees for PAA’s annual election.  Position descriptions are below.  You can use this form to submit your interest to become a nominee for election.  The next election will be held Summer 2019.

President-Elect:  The President-elect serves a three-year term, initially as President-elect, then President, then Past President.  The President-elect is responsible for planning the program of the annual meeting the following year.  As President, the elected serves as the chief officer of PAA, presides over its activities and makes committee appointments.  Finally, as Past-President, the elected serves as an officer of the Board and member of the Executive Committee.  This service includes two in-person meetings, one at the PAA Annual Meeting and one in the fall in the DC Metro area.

Vice-President Elect:  The Vice President-elect serves a two-year term, initially as Vice President-elect and then as Vice President. The elected assists the President-elect/President in discharging the duties of the office.  This service includes two in-person meetings, one at the PAA Annual Meeting and one in the fall in the DC Metro area.

Board of Directors:  Directors serve a three-year term on the PAA Board of Directors.  The Board of Directors are responsible for the custody and administration of property and funds of PAA and have full management of the and control of its affairs. This service includes two in-person meetings, one at the PAA Annual Meeting and one in the fall in the DC Metro area.
